RISING STARS - the comic that could have been...

This 24-issue series could have been an incredible piece of story telling. This amazing saga about 113 children united by one event they will never forget. They became known as the "Pederson Specials". A group of kids who received powers while in their mothers' wombs because of a strange flash of light that showed up in their town. The tale was fantastic and also tragic. I SO looked forward to reading this story. However... is became late... VERY LATE!

A comic series that was supposed to last 2 years became 3, then 4, then... I think 5! It took so long for the last several issues to come out, I forgot about the story. Now, the whole series is being released as a hardback graphic novel... THIS is the way it should have been... the story reads much better when you read it straight through... and not over the course of 5 years!

Rising Stars could have become a classic... hopefully now people will give it a chance and read it now that it's over. I give it a thumbs up. Even though I had to go through several disappointing visits to the comic shop only to find it's spot on the shelf empty.
